The mayor of Ronda, Mari Paz Fernández, along with the Councilor for Sports, Bernardo Crespo, presented the upcoming edition of this sporting event at Miguel Ángel Blanco square. Registrations are now open via the website www.dorsalchip.es. Lieutenant Colonel Víctor Laureano, head of the X Bandera Millán-Astray, was also present and expressed his gratitude to the City Council.
For this edition, the City Council has made a total of 3,800 places available, distributed across different categories: ultratrail (43 km), trail (27 km), cycling (43 km), hikers (10 km), Nordic walking (10 km), and children's race (1.5 km).
The race, which attracts athletes from all over Andalusia and Spain, serves as a recognition by the Ronda City Council to La Legión for its commitment to the city and its role in organizing the annual 101-kilometer event, an emblematic competition that significantly boosts the economy of the municipality and the region.
Participants will cover final sections of the 101-kilometer route, passing through Benaoján and Montejaque. Over 200 people, including volunteers, are involved in the organization. 100 places will be reserved for the 101-kilometer race for the top performers in each category of the HOLE event.
Additionally, food and bar services will be provided by a Ronda brotherhood, chosen by lottery from those interested within the Association of Brotherhoods and Confraternities of Ronda.
