The report issued by the Provincial Firefighters Consortium (CPB) of Málaga points to a significant deficit in safety and accessibility at the underground parking facility located in Plaza del Socorro. Given the seriousness of the detected situation, the Ronda City Council, which granted the concession to the managing company, has proceeded with its immediate precautionary closure.
The municipal decision comes after an increase in user complaints, primarily related to accessibility issues, notably the malfunctioning elevator. Following these complaints, the council initiated an inspection and gave the concessionaire a deadline to rectify the deficiencies, a deadline which was not met.
Subsequently, the firefighters' intervention led to the issuance of the report that has prompted the closure. The managing company must now address all the problems detailed in the document to reopen the facility.
