The speech, given at the Blas Infante Auditorium, blended the speaker's childhood memories and past professional life as a journalist in Ronda, expressing gratitude for the hospitality received. Residents from Grazalema participated to convey their thanks, and local painter Marcos Sánchez created a live artwork gifted to Ronda, receiving another in return from Mayor Mari Paz Fernández.
The President and Goyescas Ladies took the stage following the completion of the bullring's two-year renovation, which had led to the suspension of bullfighting events. They received bouquets of flowers from Fernández and the Councillor for Festivals, Rebeca Muñoz.
The event concluded with a performance by the Sevillian group Los Alpresa. The speaker encouraged attendees to enjoy the fair with joy and unity, while Mayor Mari Paz Fernández invited Ronda's citizens to experience the fair with pride.
In recognition of the support provided, Ronda and its city council will receive the Medal of the Villa of Grazalema during the inauguration of Grazalema's Main Festivals this Friday. The Andalusia Emergency Agency, EMA, and the Town Council of Zahara de la Sierra will also be honored for their involvement in the incident.
