The Ronda City Council has equipped the municipal cleaning company, Soliarsa, with a new street sweeping vehicle, the third of its kind. The investment, made through a leasing agreement, amounts to approximately 340,000 euros, as explained by the Councilor for Street Cleaning, Mari Carmen Martínez.
Martínez visited the Soliarsa facilities to present this new equipment, which represents an improvement in the municipal company's fleet of vehicles and material resources. "We have a significant fleet of vehicles to keep the city clean, and we are constantly investing in improving our resources with this objective," stated the councilor.
She also recalled that work is underway on the tender process to incorporate another vehicle of a different category into the fleet before the end of the year, and highlighted the recent acquisition of another vehicle for rear-load garbage collection.
The councilor emphasized the City Council's commitment to this service, which currently receives the largest financial transfer in its history from the Consistory, around 3,900,000 euros. "This transfer has been increasing in recent years, as I said, to strengthen this service, through hiring staff and making investments like the one we are presenting today," pointed out Martínez.
Finally, she valued the work of the Soliarsa staff, "who work from Monday to Sunday" in various parts of Ronda to keep it clean.
