The incident occurred on the morning of April 8, when a local resident was heading to work and found his van's window broken and an intruder inside. Upon being discovered, the suspect, armed with a large stick, lunged at the vehicle owner, demanding his wallet.
A struggle ensued between the two, which ended with the assailant on the ground, suffering a bleeding head wound from a fall, after which he fled the scene. Although the assailant concealed his face, the vehicle owner was able to identify him.
After receiving an alert via 091, officers from the Local Citizen Security Brigade of the Ronda Police Station arrived at the scene. They interviewed the car owner, who showed signs of forced entry, and observed traces of blood that apparently came from the assailant's injury.
The investigation, led by the Local Operational Group, led officers to the home of the person identified as the alleged perpetrator, where blood traces were also found on the door. Due to the suspect's lack of response, a judicial authorization was requested to access the property, given the possible severity of the head injury. However, once they entered the home with the help of the Fire Department, no one was found inside.
Finally, the next day, officers located the suspect at his partner's home and proceeded with his arrest for his alleged involvement in a violent robbery.
