The cleaning and restoration works on the drainage network of Bulevar Ciudad de Vícar and Avenida del Prado have been completed. The Mayor of Vícar, Antonio Bonilla, has supervised the tasks aimed at improving infrastructure and preventing potential water accumulation in case of heavy rainfall.
These works, which also included the presence of the works coordinator for the Ayuntamiento de Vícar, José Miguel Galera, aim not only to repair existing infrastructure but also to enhance the prevention system against potential storm episodes. The mayor emphasized the importance of preventive measures to avoid greater problems and inconvenconveniences for citizens.
The interventions focused on the Bulevar Ciudad de Vícar, inspecting and repairing large-capacity drains and the main collector along its entire route. On Avenida del Prado, actions were also taken to mitigate the risk of waterlogging.
Previously, cleaning efforts were carried out to facilitate the expansion of connection inlets, and drainage capacity was reinforced by enlarging other drains. The objective is to ensure the rapid evacuation of rainwater and prevent flood damage to adjacent properties and vehicles parked or transiting in the area.
