The project, included within the Provincial Plans, has an execution period of 18 months and will allow for the renovation of this key infrastructure for the municipality.
The works include the partial demolition of the current facilities and the refurbishment of the outdoor pool. The main intervention is the air conditioning of the enclosure to enable continuous year-round use of the pool, focused on health and rehabilitation, especially for the elderly.
The Deputy of Public Works, Antonio J. Rodríguez, explained that the air conditioning will allow year-round use. Additionally, the project includes the creation of a multi-purpose room of over 110 square meters and a cafeteria area with independent access, which will serve as complementary spaces for municipal and local entity activities.
The work proposes a comprehensive renovation. A significant part of the current building will be demolished to construct a new building housing an indoor pool of 77 square meters within a climatized area of approximately 126 square meters. The outdoor pool will have its main basin refurbished, and the children's pool will be relocated.
In terms of energy, a high-efficiency aerothermal heat pump will be installed, and 22 photovoltaic panels will be placed on the roof of the multi-purpose hall, with a total power of 8.8 kW.
The works will be executed in four phases: demolition, earthmoving, construction of new volumes and refurbishment of the outdoor pool, and plot urbanization. The new complex will expand its size to over 600 square meters.
