The municipal registry of Vícar records 30,860 residents as of June 30, 2026, representing an increase of 569 people in the first six months of the year. This figure consolidates the municipality's demographic growth trend.
Mayor Antonio Bonilla has pointed out that the choice of Vícar to "start their family projects" demonstrates the municipality's consolidation as a place of residence.
The census is composed of 16,841 men (54.57%) and 14,019 women (45.42%). Diversity is a key characteristic, with residents from 74 different nationalities. The Spanish population represents 64.91% of the total.
The Moroccan community is the largest among foreigners, with 4,821 residents (15.62%). They are followed by Senegalese (1,338), Romanian (1,243), and Malian (1,136), in addition to citizens from other European Union countries such as Bulgaria, Italy, Lithuania, and Germany.
The City Council emphasizes that periodic analysis of the registry data is a fundamental tool for planning municipal growth and adapting infrastructure, public services, and cultural activities to the real needs of the population.
This demographic evolution allows the Consistory to design municipal policies aligned with the sustained growth of the city.
