The mayor of Vícar, Antonio Bonilla, has presented the 2026/2027 season of the Sport and Nature program, emphasizing the enthusiasm for continuing to discover paths and landscapes. The program aims to offer an opportunity to connect with nature and enjoy historical and beautiful spots.
As a new feature, Sunday outings will not only include hiking but will also be complemented by cultural activities, heritage visits, and unique experiences at each destination.
The current edition will feature a total of 12 excursions until April, visiting locations such as Baza, Cádiar, Paterna, Benalúa de Guadix, Málaga, Alquife, Alboloduy, Almería, Lúcar, Laroya, Enix, and Santa Fe. Some routes will be themed according to the time of year, such as the chestnut festival in Paterna.
The next scheduled outing will be on October 11th, heading to the Moorish Route of Cádiar. This 11-kilometer route will traverse landscapes of the Alpujarra granadina, passing through historic towns like Mecina Bombarón, Bérchules, Alcútar, and Narila, culminating in the Wine Festival in Cádiar.
The participation fee for each expedition will be €12 per person. Registrations can be made at the House of Youth and Sport from Monday to Friday, between 8:00 AM and 3:00 PM.
