The Almería town of Dalías was the epicenter of a massive display of faith with the celebration of the 'Bajada del Cristo de la Luz' (Descent of the Christ of Light). This event, one of the most significant in Andalusia, brought together thousands of pilgrims arriving from various parts of Spain, marking the end of the municipality's patron saint festivities.
The image of the Christ of Light, a masterpiece by the Sevillian sculptor Castillo Lastrucci carved in 1937, was descended from the main altar of the Church of Santa María de Ambrox. This climactic moment, filled with emotion and devotion, was supported by the Poniente Fire Consortium and witnessed by hundreds with raised hands in prayer.
