The Roma Community Program of the Social Services Area of the Vícar City Council has finished a new edition of its Summer School. The initiative, aimed at the Roma population in the neighborhoods of La Cimilla and La Lomilla, took place during the first half of August.
Participants enjoyed a wide range of educational, cultural, sports, and leisure activities. These activities were designed to promote family reconciliation, encourage learning, foster healthy habits, and cooperative play.
The program included workshops, games, sports activities, crafts, and healthy snacks, adapted to the different ages and needs of the attendees. The goal was to offer families an educational leisure alternative during the summer period, promoting reconciliation, participation, and coexistence.
As usual, the youngest residents of the mentioned neighborhoods, aged between 3 and 16 years, eagerly awaited the Summer School, which once again broke participation records.
This work session was carried out following the general objectives of the Roma Community Program within the framework of the Ministry of Social Inclusion, Youth, Families, and Equality, for the fiscal year 2026.
