Since its implementation, the Citizen Coexistence patrols have carried out intensive work in various areas that directly impact residents' daily lives. Among the most frequent interventions, 60 actions were recorded related to public road anomalies, mainly due to uncontrolled dumping or incidents arising from power cuts in occupied homes.
In the field of animal protection, the unit conducted 120 actions, many of them linked to pet abandonment, control of pet documentation, complaints against owners of potentially dangerous dogs, and other breaches of the municipal ordinance.
Officers also issued 20 reports on activities in public premises and noise disturbances, in addition to intervening on 25 occasions for urban planning discipline issues. This is complemented by 65 actions for uncivil behavior such as throwing water onto public roads, urinating in the street, depositing trash outside containers, or abandoning belongings in public spaces.
The creation of these specialized patrols strengthens coexistence, preserves public space, and offers a closer, more agile, and effective response to citizen demands regarding civility.
The work of these patrols has included six interventions against illegal street vending and 24 environmental actions, focused on noise disturbances in homes and establishments, as well as the management of abandoned vehicles. In the specific area of citizen coexistence, 73 actions were carried out, including mediation in private conflicts and preventive surveillance in secondary education institutes.
During this period, the Local Police also processed 61 complaints for non-compliance with the Citizen Coexistence Ordinance. The most common infractions include hanging clothes on facades, storing merchandise on public roads, pouring water or other liquids into public spaces, gatherings of people consuming beverages that disturb coexistence, unauthorized installation of air conditioning units on facades, and improper use of terraces or clotheslines to store visible objects in a disorderly manner. Additionally, ten complaints and removals of vehicles used as 'illegal taxis' from public roads have been registered.
