A mobile unit from the Almería Blood Transfusion Center will travel to Puebla de Vícar next Monday, August 3rd, to carry out blood extractions. The solidarity event, held at the Antonio Machado Social Center, provided by the City Council, aims to encourage donations among residents.
As a main novelty, all donors who come to show their solidarity will receive a free pass for a swim at the Villa de Vícar Swimming Pool. Extractions will take place in the morning, from 9:30 AM to 1:00 PM.
The requirements to donate blood are to be between 18 and 65 years old and have a minimum weight of 50 kg. A doctor will be present to resolve any health-related questions donors may have. The Vícar City Council has reiterated its collaboration to ensure the best care for volunteers.
The Donantes de Vida Association highlights the high awareness of the Vícar population in these altruistic acts. In the last drive, held in February, 134 people participated, of whom four were new donors from the municipality.
For those interested in donating plasma, appointments can be made at the Almería Blood Transfusion Center, located opposite the Torrecárdenas Hospital, by calling 900 10 17 80, Monday to Friday from 8:30 AM to 2:30 PM.
