The Civil Guard of Almería is investigating the tragic event, which took place on the border between El Ejido and Balanegra. Initial inquiries suggest domestic violence as the primary motive, ruling out other causes.
The alleged perpetrator of the shooting, a 25-year-old Spanish national, was arrested at 4:00 AM on Tuesday after an extensive manhunt. It is suspected that the detainee may suffer from a mental disorder and does not possess a firearm license.
The incident occurred around 11:00 PM on Monday. Officers discovered a car with bullet impacts on El Canalillo street, inside which were the bodies of a married couple, the parents of the arrested individual.
The attack also resulted in four serious injuries. Among those affected is a seven-month-old baby, the detainee's son, who was evacuated in critical condition. A two-year-old girl, a woman, and a man were also injured by gunfire and were rushed to hospitals.
