The new municipal infrastructure aims to provide a safe environment where dogs can socialize and engage in physical activity. According to local government sources, this space is intended to become a meeting point for residents, facilitating interaction between pet owners while their animals enjoy the facilities.
The council has appealed to civic responsibility to ensure the maintenance and preservation of the site. This action is part of a broader animal protection strategy that includes the ethical control of feline colonies using the CER method, developed in collaboration with veterinary professionals from Almería.
In the coming months, the municipality plans to launch two awareness campaigns. The first will focus on preventing animal abandonment, while the second will promote the cleanliness of public spaces through the mandatory collection of dog waste.
