The Blood Transfusion Center has expressed its satisfaction with the results of the blood extractions carried out last June at the Puebla de Vícar Health Center. A mobile unit from the center, in collaboration with the Almería Blood Donors Brotherhood, conducted the campaign in the municipality.
Of the 134 people who participated in the two extraction sessions, four donated blood for the first time. The continuous incorporation of new donors reflects growing citizen awareness in Vícar.
The mayor of Vícar, Antonio Bonilla, a regular donor, thanked the population for their solidarity with this initiative. The Torrecárdenas Blood Transfusion Center plans to convene a new collection for August.
During the sessions, held on June 25 and 26, 87 donors were men and 47 were women. The loyalty of Vícar's donors is notable, with 130 repeat participants.
Throughout the extractions, a doctor was present to address any questions donors had before the procedure.
