The president of Málaga's PP, Patricia Navarro, has affirmed her party's full commitment to the province ahead of the upcoming regional elections on May 17, contrasting their approach with the "virtual candidacy" of socialist María Jesús Montero.

During the presentation of the provincial candidacy for the Popular Party, Navarro praised the "great political and professional solvency" of her list's members, assuring their readiness to "continue transforming and improving the province and Andalucía." She emphasized that this candidacy represents "proven effectiveness" and a guarantee for the region's progress and well-being.
The provincial leader also highlighted the PP's openness to civil society, both in actively listening to citizen demands and incorporating relevant figures into the candidacy. She cited examples such as pharmacist Paloma Moreno, representative of the Venezuelan community Amalia Liñán, and former basketball player and Unicaja ambassador, Carlos Cabezas, whom she described as part of a "great team that knows about impossible conquests."

"For Málaga, the Government of Juanma Moreno has unblocked projects that the socialists kept in drawers for decades."

Navarro criticized the management of the Sánchez Government, lamenting the "investment abandonment" that, according to the popular party, has elevated mobility to the second biggest concern for Málaga residents. She reproached Montero for not demanding solutions from Minister Óscar Puente, especially regarding the direct AVE disconnection and the suspension of the Cercanías service between Málaga and Fuengirola.
For her part, candidate Carolina España expressed her pride in being part of a "winning list," emphasizing that the team comes "with their homework done and with the ambition to continue making our land the engine of Spain." She highlighted the "fiscal revolution" carried out in Andalucía, with seven tax cuts since Juanma Moreno's arrival to the Junta, which has generated historical savings of 1.794 million euros annually for Andalusian families, with Málaga leading with 560 million.

"We do not come to promise; we come with our homework done and with the ambition to continue making our land the engine of Spain."

España concluded by highlighting the "A" rating with a stable outlook granted by Standard & Poor’s to Juanma Moreno's management, the best rating since 2012, placing Andalucía at the same level as Madrid, which she considers the best presentation card for the upcoming elections.
