Turismo Costa del Sol is celebrating its 50th anniversary with the launch of a new corporate image. The rebranding seeks to reinforce the region's identity as a "diverse and innovative" destination, maintaining its essence and southern character, as explained by the institution.
The new brand, described as "fresh, fun, and innovative" by the president of the Málaga Provincial Council, Francisco Salado, adapts to modern times without losing its roots. The expanded and dynamic color palette represents the diverse tourist segments offered by the Costa del Sol, from sun and beach to culture, golf, gastronomy, nature, MICE, and active tourism.
This visual transformation reflects the destination's evolution over the past five decades. What began as an offer focused on sun and beach now integrates a wide range of experiences, consolidating it as a "diverse, innovative destination capable of offering a complete experience throughout the year," Salado detailed.
Salado highlighted the capacity for transformation and adaptation, particularly among entrepreneurs and through public-private collaboration, as key to maintaining leadership and competitiveness against other European destinations. "This brand and this destination are the result of the joint work and effort of companies, institutions, and professionals," he stated.
With an eye on the future, sustainability is presented as a fundamental pillar. The institution aims to adapt the tourism industry to local needs regarding infrastructure, water, energy, and housing, ensuring that "there is a future" in the Costa del Sol and that it is consolidated as a region of employment opportunities.
The presentation of the new image took place this Wednesday at an event that brought together tourism sector professionals, city councils, and entities from the province of Málaga, coinciding with the commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the first company dedicated to the international promotion of the Costa del Sol.
