The sector has undergone a significant transformation in recent years, shifting from a focus on correcting specific issues to a more regenerative approach. Professionals in Malaga note that the patient profile has evolved, with a new priority on prevention and skin quality through techniques that emphasize natural results and healthy aging.
Figures reflect this trend, with an estimated 150,000 to 180,000 procedures performed annually in the province. The patient age range has broadened, being most frequent between 30 and 64, although interest is starting as early as age 20. Additionally, male patients now account for 31% of the demand, moving beyond traditional hair treatments to include facial care.
“"Patients want to age, but they want to look good for their age, not younger. We try to seek naturalness, so they don't look excessively retouched."
The most requested procedures include botulinum toxin, hyaluronic acid, and laser treatments. Experts point out that constant exposure to digital environments and the pursuit of personal well-being have driven the normalization of aesthetics, which is no longer seen as an exclusive luxury. However, the sector warns about professional malpractice and the rise of clinics operating illegally, urging users to verify the appropriate health licenses.
