The province of Málaga recorded a turnout of 35.66% in the Andalusian elections by 2:00 PM this Sunday. This figure represents an increase of 2.68 percentage points compared to the 2022 elections. A total of 432,717 people had cast their votes in the Málaga province by that hour.
At the regional level, turnout in Andalusia stood at 37.25% at 2:00 PM, an increase of 3.01 points compared to the 2022 election day. Across the entire community, 2,425,599 people had voted by that time.
The Minister of Health, Presidency, and Emergencies, Antonio Sanz, provided these participation figures during a press conference. He reminded that over 6.8 million Andalusians are called to vote to elect the 109 deputies who will form the Andalusian Parliament for the next four years.
By province, turnout at 2:00 PM is distributed as follows: Almería (36.80%, +4.57 points), Cádiz (34.44%, +3.28 points), Córdoba (40.51%, +1.59 points), Granada (38.20%, +3.27 points), Huelva (34.32%, +4.52 points), Jaén (39.26%, +1.38 points), and Seville (38.79%, +3.28 points).
Regarding incidents, there were some delays in the establishment of polling stations. The Electoral Board of Cádiz has extended voting hours until 8:10 PM at one polling station at CEIP La Florida in El Puerto de Santa María. In Málaga, the extension will be until 8:14 PM at a polling station in CEIP Constitución. Meanwhile, the Electoral Board of Seville has approved extending voting hours until 8:43 PM for the six polling stations at CEIP Azahares.
As a consequence of these delays, the Electoral Board of Andalusia has authorized the dissemination of polls at 8:00 PM, but official results will not be published until 8:43 PM, when the last polling station closes.
