The railway company OUIGO anticipates transporting over 750,000 travelers during July and August, positioning Málaga among the most in-demand destinations on its high-speed network.

Málaga is consolidating itself as one of the preferred destinations for OUIGO customers for their summer holidays. The operator estimates that more than 750,000 passengers will use its services between July and August. Of this figure, over 355,000 travelers are expected to travel with family, a trend that remains strong during the high season.
The company forecasts that the peak travel period will be concentrated between the last week of July and the first week of August. Alongside Málaga, cities such as Barcelona, Valencia, and Alicante also rank among the most requested. OUIGO attributes this high demand to the tourist appeal of these cities during the summer months and the general increase in holiday travel.
As a main novelty for this season, OUIGO will implement a direct connection linking Málaga with Zaragoza and Barcelona. This service will operate from July 20th to September 6th, from Fridays to Mondays (with some specific exceptions), allowing passengers to travel between these cities without needing to change trains.
Getaways lasting between four and seven days are the preferred option for summer travelers, according to the company. The average advance booking period for tickets stands at 28 days, although there is a coexistence of those who plan months ahead and those who decide at the last minute.
OUIGO maintains its fares starting from 9 euros, with reduced prices of 7 euros for children aged 4 to 13. Children under three travel for free if they do not occupy their own seat. Currently, the operator connects 15 destinations on the Spanish high-speed network, with Málaga being a key point for the summer campaign.
