The province of Málaga will continue to be affected by the heatwave on Monday, with maximum temperatures expected to reach up to 39 degrees. The State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) has issued an orange alert due to these significantly high temperatures.
According to Aemet data, the capital of Málaga recorded maximums of 41 degrees today. In some provincial towns, such as Estepona and Coín, thermometers approached 42 degrees (41.7 and 41.6 degrees respectively), ranking among the highest temperatures recorded in Spain today.
For Monday, August 3rd, the Málaga capital is expected to register highs of 39 degrees. The orange alert for high temperatures will be active from 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Coín, with maximums up to 38 degrees, and Estepona, with up to 36 degrees, will also remain under orange alert.
Looking ahead to Tuesday, August 4th, Aemet forecasts that maximum temperatures in the Málaga capital will remain at 39 degrees. Consequently, a yellow alert for high temperatures will be activated, also from 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
During these days, Aemet predicts completely clear skies across the province.
