News of her location reached her daughter, Alba, around 10 AM, when Estefanía called to inform her that she was in Malaga and planned to return home. The communication was facilitated by the National Police after Estefanía identified herself to the authorities.
As the days went by, the family grew more concerned due to the lack of information.
During her absence, security forces had focused their search for Estefanía González in the city of Malaga, following a lead from a young man who claimed to have seen and spoken with her there. Other reports had placed her in Chiclana, getting out of a car in Plaza Rafael Alberti.
Estefanía, a mother of two, was last seen on Good Friday, April 3, around 3:00 PM. The incident was reported to the Guardia Civil the following Monday, prompting an intensive search campaign by family and friends, primarily through social media, which has now happily concluded.
