The head of Transport has urged the diligence of Andalusian local and regional administrations for the repair of these routes. This request comes in the context of the upcoming reopening of the high-speed service to Málaga, scheduled for April 30, following incidents that affected it.
“"With all the haste they have shown, I hope they now act quickly and accordingly."
The process of restoring the AVE service has been complex, including the construction of a retaining wall to secure an electrical line and the resolution of a tunnel leak. Although the service will resume on April 30, initially one of the two tracks will open, and the minister has avoided setting a date for the full reopening due to the complexity of the remaining works.
In his address, the minister also criticized the management of the Junta de Andalucía and the provincial councils regarding the state of the roads. He urged these administrations to address the repair of the closed roads with the same speed they have demanded for the national railway infrastructure.
Among the affected roads, which have remained closed or with restrictions since the beginning of the year in Andalucía, are the A-7202 in Archidona, the A-7150 in Casares, the MA-6406 in Teba, the MA-8401 in Jimera de Líbar, the MA-8306 in Benalauría, the A-5200 in Alcalá de los Gazules and San José del Valle, the CA-9101 in Olvera, the CA-9113 between El Gastor and Setenil, the CA-8104 in Ubrique, the CA-5200 in Alcalá de los Gazules and San José del Valle, the A-381 in Medina Sidonia, the A-3125 in Fuentidueña, the C-334a between Lucena and Rute, the CO-8203 between Almedinilla and Brácana, the A-3125 in Baena, the A-3001 in Adamuz, the SE-GI-01 in El Calonge, the GR-3407 between Vallequemado and Íllora, the GR-4105 between Beas de Guadix and Marchal, the GR-3201 in La Peza, the A-4000R1 in Iznalloz, the A-6000 between Villargordo and Mengíbar, the JV-5015 in La Condesa, the A-8126 in Coripe, the SE-9225 between Algámitas and Pruna, the A-303 in Guarromán, the A-32 in Villacarrillo and the JV-5015 in Villanueva de la Reina.
