The State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) has activated a yellow alert for high temperatures in Málaga's Costa del Sol and Guadalhorce Valley this Wednesday, August 5th. Maximums of 36 degrees are forecast, ending the terral wind episode.

The State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) has issued a new heat warning for Málaga this Wednesday, August 5th. The alert remains at yellow level and affects the Costa del Sol and Guadalhorce Valley regions. After three consecutive days with orange alerts and temperatures exceeding 40 degrees, the province will experience a drop in thermometers, ending the episode of terral winds.
Recent nights have been notably torrid, with minimum temperatures approaching 30 degrees in some areas. For this Wednesday, the yellow alert will be active between 1:00 PM and 9:00 PM, with predicted highs of 36 degrees in the mentioned areas. It is anticipated that in the interior of these regions, the figure could reach 38 degrees in some municipalities.
In other inland areas, such as Antequera and Ronda, temperatures will range between 33 and 35 degrees. In Axarquía, which has registered several heat warnings in previous days, coastal areas are expected to have highs below 30 degrees, while inland areas could reach 35 degrees.
Looking ahead to Thursday, a moderate to significant drop in temperatures is expected on the Málaga coast, while temperatures are predicted to rise in the rest of the province. On the coast, highs will be around 30 degrees, but inland, in areas like the Guadalhorce Valley or Ronda, they could reach 35 degrees, exceeding 36 degrees near Antequera.
The situation is expected to remain similar on Friday, with coastal highs around 30 degrees and minimums above 20. Inland, maximums could exceed 35 degrees, with nights around 21 degrees. Initial forecasts from Aemet suggest these conditions will remain stable throughout the weekend.
