To mark April 23, a date commemorating the passing of Miguel de Cervantes and William Shakespeare, the program includes library visits, educational workshops, magic shows, reading clubs, and various children's activities.
In the educational sphere, the ‘Get to Know Your Library’ program will bring municipal centers closer to Primary and Secondary school students. Younger children can enjoy storytelling at the Francisco de Quevedo library and book presentations at the Jorge Guillén.
Adult reading clubs will also play a prominent role with sessions in different city libraries, where works by authors such as Juan Tallón, Mary Ann Shaffer, Mathias Enard, or Pablo Santiago Chiquero will be discussed.
The cultural agenda is complemented by a poetry workshop, family activities with crafts, storytelling in parks across various districts, and the magic show ‘El gran Dullón’, aimed at children.
For adult audiences, a special talk dedicated to the figure of Agatha Christie will be held, commemorating the 50th anniversary of her death, analyzing her work and its influence on subsequent literature.
