The educational offer in Andalucía for the 2026/27 academic year totals 8,722 places in professional programs for Plastic Arts and Design, as well as in Higher Artistic Education for Dramatic Art, Design, Music, and Dance. Of this total, Málaga will contribute 881 of these training opportunities.
Specifically, professional programs in Plastic Arts and Design in Málaga will have 540 places. The application period for students required to take an entrance exam runs from May 1 to 31. For students exempt from this exam, the deadline will be from June 1 to 20.
These programs are structured into intermediate and higher-level training cycles, grouped by artistic professional families. Additionally, they include a practical training phase in companies, studios, and workshops, as reported by the Junta de Andalucía.
The enrollment process begins with the submission of the admission application, which can be done electronically through the Virtual Secretariat of the Educational Centers of the Ministry of Educational Development and Vocational Training, or in person at the corresponding center. Once the application period closes, lists of admitted and non-admitted individuals will be published, and students who secure a place must formalize their enrollment within the established period, which is from July 1 to 10 for Plastic Arts and Design, preferably via electronic means.
Regarding Higher Artistic Education in Music, Dance, Dramatic Art, and Design, Málaga will offer 341 places. The application period for these disciplines will be open from May 1 to 20. The ordinary admission process, which includes specific tests, allocations, and enrollment, will take place between June and July.
The centers offering these higher education programs operate under a single district system, with the exception of Dance, meaning that places are awarded through competitive selection based on the score obtained in the specific entrance exam.
