The city of Málaga has experienced torrid nights, with minimum temperatures surpassing 30 degrees Celsius. This situation has persisted for three consecutive days, with orange-level alerts in the Costa del Sol and Valle del Guadalhorce, which have now been downgraded to yellow.
On Wednesday morning, Málaga airport recorded nocturnal highs of 31 degrees Celsius at 1 AM, dropping to 29 degrees in the following hours. At the city's meteorological center, minimum temperatures stood at 30 degrees, falling to 28 by morning. Another measuring station in Málaga also exceeded 30 degrees during the night.
Other towns in the province also suffered high nocturnal temperatures. Torremolinos reached 31 degrees at 1 AM, while in Rincón de la Victoria, temperatures remained at 30 degrees until 3 AM before dropping to 23. Inland, Álora and Coín recorded minimums of 28 degrees, falling to 25 and 24 respectively. Benahavís registered 27 degrees, and Nerja reached 29.4 degrees.
The State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) has issued a final yellow heat warning for the Costa del Sol and the Valle del Guadalhorce. Temperatures are expected to decrease moderately on the coast for Thursday, while inland, in areas like the Valle del Guadalhorce or Ronda, they could reach 35 degrees, and exceed 36 degrees in the vicinity of Antequera.
