The Antequera region is under a yellow alert for high temperatures this Friday and Saturday. According to Aemet, temperatures are expected to reach 38 degrees in the towns of this area, with the alert active between 1:00 PM and 9:00 PM.
On Saturday, the rise in temperatures will be particularly noticeable in the northern extreme, affecting municipalities such as Villanueva de Algaidas, Fuente de Piedra, and Alameda. Meanwhile, in the Ronda area, highs will remain around 35 degrees over the weekend, and in the Guadalhorce Valley, they will rise to 36 degrees by Saturday. On the coast, maximum temperatures will hover around 30 degrees, reaching 33 in Estepona and dropping to 28 in Fuengirola.
The situation is expected to remain stable on Sunday, with no major changes anticipated in the province. Initial indications from Aemet suggest this trend will extend into the middle of next week, maintaining atmospheric stability.
Málaga began August with orange heat alerts on the coast, caused by terral winds, recording highs above 40 degrees this week. Following the last alert on the coast on Wednesday, the alerts have now moved to the north of the province for this Friday and Saturday, offering a single day of heat respite.
