The initiative, published this Tuesday in the Official Gazette of the Province (BOP), allows interested parties to submit their applications starting this Wednesday. The application period will last for 20 calendar days, concluding on June 1.
This aid is intended for residents of the city of Málaga who have a disability equal to or greater than 33% and a mobility limitation equal to or greater than 25%. The main objective is to cover expenses derived from the use of adapted taxis with a municipal license between October 1, 2025, and September 30, 2026.
Applications can be managed electronically through the Council's channels or in person at the Registry Offices and the Municipal Citizen Service Offices (OMAC). Beneficiaries must justify expenses with invoices between October 1 and October 15, 2026, with a warning that invoices for taxis without a local license or non-adapted taxis will not be accepted.
“"This aid aims to promote urban travel for people with reduced mobility."
The City Council has allocated a budget of 7,000 euros for this measure, which is part of the II Strategic Plan for Universal Accessibility of the city of Málaga 2023-2027. This plan seeks to ensure mobility in urban spaces for all people, regardless of their abilities.
