The program begins on Monday, April 27, with the ‘Living with Philosophy’ series, coordinated by José Carlos Ruiz. Writer and philosopher Silvia Bardelás will lead a discussion titled ‘What does it mean to be human today?’, addressing contemporary unease in a society marked by hyperconnectivity and emotional disconnection.
This gathering will critically examine the challenges of the 21st century, from the impact of artificial intelligence and transhumanism to the loss of essential dimensions of human experience such as sensitivity and perception. The session aims to open a debate on the potential transformation of consciousness as a driver of change.
On Wednesday, April 29, the ‘Who is Who: who's who in the art world’ series, coordinated by Mª Jesús Martínez Silvente, will focus on contemporary collecting. Collector Candela Soldevilla will share her experience leading the Studiolo Collection, a project featuring hundreds of works that has been showcased in national and international institutions.
The cultural week will conclude on Thursday, April 30, with a new session of the ‘Málaga, ida y vuelta’ series, coordinated by Regina Sotorrío. This event will feature the renowned Málaga-born artist, founder of the group Chambao and pioneer of flamenco chill, who will review her 25-year career. This meeting aims to highlight local talent that has transcended the provincial borders.
All activities will take place at 7:00 PM in Sala 001, with free admission until full capacity is reached. The ‘Málaga, ida y vuelta’ series is supported by Diario Sur, Fundación Unicaja, and Cervezas Victoria.
