The cultural venue, promoted by a renowned film figure, is consolidating its position as a benchmark in Andalucía with an ambitious proposal designed to attract audiences of all ages. Following a period dedicated to contemporary dance, the theatre is now opening its doors to new scenic experiences.
The month kicks off with illusionist Mag Lari, who presents his show Strafalari from May 1st to 3rd. This performance, celebrating three decades of his career, combines humor, audience participation, and his most outstanding acts, promising a magical experience for the whole family.
Flamenco will feature prominently with two significant events. On May 8th, singer Argentina will perform Flamenco por Cantaora, an emotional journey through the essential styles of the genre. The following day, May 9th, the Compañía Flamenca La Lupi will present a dance proposal that explores new territories within flamenco art, building on over four decades of experience.
Mid-month, text theatre takes over with the adaptation of Memorias de Adriano, starring Lluís Homar on May 15th and 16th. Based on the novel by Marguerite Yourcenar, the play offers a profound reflection on power and identity through the figure of the Roman emperor.
The grand finale will be Tootsie, the musical comedy, premiering on May 21st and running until June 7th. Inspired by the iconic 1982 film, this musical adaptation promises humor, social commentary, and romantic entanglements, presented with a contemporary and dynamic staging.
