The artist, whose real name is Juan Gómez Canca, shared the news with his followers on social media, expressing his surprise and gratitude for the public's response. "We have just sold out, with Neptune and Venus's help, the six nights at the Cervantes," the musician communicated.
Visibly moved, El Kanka shared rhyming verses of thanks, stating his desire to "try to live up to it" in the face of this achievement. The news caught him by surprise while traveling by train to Malaga, a place he considers home and where he always returns. "I never imagined performing at the Cervantes, let alone selling out six shows," he confessed in a message accompanied by a video.
The performances will take place during the second week of June, starting this Monday, June 8th, and extending to Sunday, June 14th, with dates on Tuesday the 9th, Wednesday the 10th, Friday the 12th, and Saturday the 13th. El Kanka thus becomes the focus of the Teatro Cervantes' programming during this week.
This success adds to the artist's recent initiatives, such as free preview sessions offered in late May at various locations in Malaga, or his support for local businesses through ticket giveaways and other gifts, demonstrating his strong connection to the city.
