The police operation has put an end to two 'highly active' drug selling hotspots in the city. Neighbor complaints alerted officers to suspicious activity in a downtown building, prompting an investigation.
Investigators discovered that a regular mailbox had been turned into a drop-off point for drugs in exchange for money. The individual responsible was identified, arrested, and subsequently sent to provisional prison.
A week later, another selling point was dismantled in a residence in the Carretera de Cádiz area. During this search, 75 small packets of base cocaine and heroin were seized, and a man and a woman were arrested.
The exchange method was unusual: the dealer would leave the requested drugs in the mailbox, and buyers would deposit the agreed-upon money there. This tactic aimed to avoid being caught by police during the transaction.
During the house search at the second location, 350 grams of cocaine, over 9,000 euros in cash, and two high-end vehicles were confiscated.
