The installation, consisting of a display case with a gas stove and a butane cylinder, aims to be a "tangible reminder" of the need to be prepared for unexpected situations. This initiative is part of the anniversary of the blackout that occurred on April 28, 2025.
The message accompanying the exhibition, "Use in case of blackout (and at any other time)", emphasizes the usefulness of gas in both emergencies and daily use. The display also includes the phrase: "A year ago everything went dark. The lights, the screens… That's when we understood that there is an energy that never goes out. Your gas, always with you."
“"A year later, we want to turn an uncomfortable memory into a useful reflection: preparation matters, and so does having available and reliable energy sources. LPG is part of the daily lives of millions of homes and businesses, and when an exceptional situation arises, it proves its value as an immediate and reliable solution."
During the blackout, many people resorted to basic items such as flashlights or candles. However, those who had butane cylinders were able to cover essential needs such as cooking or heating baby bottles, demonstrating the autonomy provided by this energy source when electricity fails. This campaign seeks to strengthen the bond between citizens and a "recognizable and close" energy proposal.
The action has been carried out in Málaga and at the Gran Vía shopping center in Alicante, highlighting butane and propane as reliable energies both in emergency situations and in everyday life.
