The province of Málaga is under an orange alert due to the feared 'terral' wind on Sunday and Monday. Forecasts indicate maximum temperatures of up to 41 degrees in the lower Guadalhorce area.

The 'terral' wind will trigger an orange alert in the capital, the western coast, and the Guadalhorce region on both Sunday and Monday. The State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) has issued this warning for the period between 1:00 PM and 8:59 PM. Maximum temperatures of around 39ºC are expected on Sunday.
On Monday, the situation will worsen in the municipalities along the lower course of the Guadalhorce river, where temperatures could reach 41ºC. In the Axarquía region, the alert will be yellow on both days, with highs around 38ºC.
In contrast, the Antequera and Ronda areas, which experienced heat alerts on Saturday, will see some relief in temperatures over the weekend, although high summer values are still expected.
Tuesday is expected to bring a general respite for the entire province, with no alerts activated according to Aemet.
This Saturday, the province already felt the effects of the summer's fourth heatwave. Fuente de Piedra recorded the highest temperature at 41.9ºC, while in Marbella, thermometers ranged between 27.7ºC and 25.6ºC. Other municipalities such as Cortes de la Frontera and Ronda reached 39.9ºC, and Álora and Alpandeire registered 39.5ºC and 39.3ºC respectively. In Málaga capital, maximum temperatures were between 30ºC and 32ºC.
