The incident occurred in Plaza Bravo, within the La Trinidad district, during the early hours of April 12. Police sources have confirmed that, as of now, no arrests have been made in connection with this event.
Around 4:50 AM, officers from both the Local and National Police were alerted to several detonations in the aforementioned square. Upon their arrival, the National Police, now in charge of the inquiry, found ballistic evidence that was collected during the on-site inspection.
The incident occurred in the early hours of April 12 in Plaza Bravo, in the La Trinidad neighborhood, as reported by police sources to EFE, who specified that no arrests have been made so far.
This event adds to previous similar incidents in La Trinidad. Last January, the neighborhood was the scene of two shootings within less than 24 hours. The first, on the morning of January 16, near the San Pablo church square, resulted in bullet impacts on three homes, though no injuries. The second, later that same night around 11:40 PM, took place in Mármoles and Puente streets, where shotgun cartridges were found, with no arrests made at that time.
According to reports from that period, the first shooting in January may have been linked to a dispute between local clans. Residents who alerted emergency services were unable to provide details about the alleged perpetrators of the gunfire.
