The brotherhood of Las Aguas has carried out a unique initiative to bring faith closer to the residents of the Santa María neighborhood in Cádiz. The image of the Virgin of Mercy visited house courtyards, allowing direct contact with those residents experiencing difficult times.
This act, described by the governing board as "an act of closeness, faith, and hope," aimed primarily to "bring Our Lady of Mercy to the heart of the homes and courtyards that are part of the neighborhood's daily life."
“"An act of closeness, faith, and hope, bringing Our Lady of Mercy to the heart of the homes and courtyards that are part of the neighborhood's daily life."
The Marian procession toured several emblematic courtyards of the neighborhood, including those located at number 21 Sopranis street, 20 Santo Domingo, 22 Botica, 6 Mirador street, and 11 Santa María. A mystery was recited in each of these spaces, and the litanies of the rosary were chanted inside the convent of Santa María.
