A group of students from the Roquetas de Mar Municipal Theatre School will perform the acclaimed play The House of Bernarda Alba by Federico García Lorca. The show will take place this Sunday, June 21st, at 9 PM in the town's Auditorium Theatre.
The staging features direction and dramaturgy by María Gallardo. The technical team includes Serafín Ponte for technical direction, Francisco Sánchez for scenography, and José Ignacio Abad for lighting.
The House of Bernarda Alba, written in 1936, tells the story of Bernarda Alba and her five daughters following the death of her second husband. The play, which explores themes such as oppression, traditional morality, envy, and desire, is considered a critique of restrictive social norms, particularly for women, and has become a classic of modern dramaturgy.

Live music will be performed by María del Mar Ibáñez, Sonia Miranda, Trini Rodríguez, Jesús Maldonado, and Juanan Maldonado. The production benefits from the special collaboration of Filo Rodríguez for costumes, Ana Becerra for photography, and Abel Pons for graphic design, with Redes Teatro as co-producer.
