The Puerto Real City Council has presented the official program for the 2026 Puerto Real Fair, which will take place at the Las Canteras fairgrounds from June 3rd to 8th. The town's main festival will feature a diverse lineup of activities, highlighted by the return of a drone show for the closing ceremony and performances by renowned flamenco and copla artists.
Events will kick off on Saturday, May 23rd, with the XVII Fair Proclamation, delivered by local artist Tere Andreu, who will be joined by guest performers. During this event, the Peña Cultural y Recreativa 5x5 will pay tribute to Miguel Blandino 'El Gran Pipo'.
The schedule also includes a special global radio activation on Saturday, May 30th, organized by the Union of Spanish Radio Amateurs, where each contact will receive a QSL card featuring the 2026 Fair's poster. Wednesday, June 3rd, will mark the official start of the fair with a parade by the Pedro Álvarez Hidalgo Music Band, followed by performances from local dance academies and the presentation of the Fair's Ladies and Queen. The official inauguration, with flag raising and lighting ceremony, will take place at 10:00 PM.
Thursday, June 4th, is dedicated to Children's Day, offering discounts on attractions and a period of reduced noise levels (from 4:00 PM to 8:30 PM) in solidarity with children affected by ASD. The day will conclude with performances at the Municipal Booth, including a K-POP tribute show and the Trío Zafiro.
The weekend will be filled with numerous performances. On Friday, June 5th, the Municipal Booth will host several dance academies and, at 11:00 PM, the show “Mujeres Por Sevillanas” featuring María de la Colina, Las Soles, and Las Carlotas. Saturday, June 6th, in addition to the traditional Horse and Carriage Parade, will feature dance academies, the Trío Zafiro, and María Carrasco. On Sunday, June 7th, the Horse and Carriage Parade will be repeated, and the Municipal Booth will welcome the María Poquet Flamenco School, the Tere Andreu Dance Academy, the Yolanda Armario Dance Academy, and the Coro Semilla Rociera.
The fair will conclude on Monday, June 8th, with a communal lunch honoring the elderly residents of the Joaquina de Vedruna Residence, a Sevillanas Marathon, and, at 11:00 PM, the official closing ceremony with the show ‘Geometrics’, which will feature 200 drones.
