The city of Jaén hosted the 29th edition of the 'Education for Sport' Popular Race, an event organized by the Parents' Association (AMPA) of the Santa María de la Capilla – Hermanos Maristas School. The sporting day brought together hundreds of runners of all ages, from under-8s to those over 65.
The main objective of this festive and family-friendly event is to instill the values of sport among the youngest participants, sharing this moment with the entire educational community and the rest of the city. The race was designed to foster coexistence and intergenerational enjoyment, with the collaboration of the Municipal Sports Board.
The competition was divided into two main categories. Category A was for pre-benjamin and infant participants, as well as those over 65 years old. Category B included all other age groups. In the men's category, Rafa Martínez and Miguel Ángel Gómez took victory, while in the women's category, María Sánchez and Cristina López were the winners.
