The event, taking place from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM, offers a unique opportunity for gymnasts from the town, the region, and other parts of Andalusia to learn from a historic figure in national and international rhythmic gymnastics. Almudena Cid, a four-time Olympian and eight-time Spanish champion, is known as the only rhythmic gymnast in the world to have reached four consecutive Olympic finals.
The mayor of Pozoblanco, Santiago Cabello, highlighted the city's pride in hosting an event of this magnitude, emphasizing the collaboration with the local club. "It is an honor for Pozoblanco to welcome an athlete of Almudena Cid's caliber and to do so alongside a local club that is growing strongly," stated Cabello, underscoring the role of sports as a tool for training, coexistence, and inspiration for young people.
Agustín Cantero, the Sports Councilor, noted that the Master Class positions Pozoblanco as a meeting point for rhythmic gymnastics, allowing local athletes to interact with a world-renowned figure. "It's not every day you have the chance to learn directly from an Olympian and a global icon," he said.
Victoria Gómez, president of the Pozoblanco Rhythmic Gymnastics Club, expressed her satisfaction with the event's realization, describing it as an experience of learning, motivation, and camaraderie. She thanked the City Council for their support in making this initiative possible.
The Master Class is aimed at gymnasts aged 8 and above, of all levels, and will cover aspects of specific physical preparation, ball handling, dance, and expressiveness. In addition to the training, there will be prize draws, photo opportunities, and autograph signings.

The Pozoblanco Rhythmic Gymnastics Club, founded in May 2024, promotes sports practice and values such as effort and discipline among its approximately 90 gymnasts aged between 5 and 16 years.
