The Pozoblanco City Council has put out to tender a new contract for the rental of machinery with operators, exclusively for the improvement, conditioning, conservation, and maintenance of municipal roads. This initiative aims to enhance the rural road network, which is fundamental for the municipality's development.
The base budget for this tender amounts to 100,042.80 euros. Thanks to this investment, a top-tier technical deployment is planned, including 520 hours of grader work, 520 hours of compactor work, and another 520 hours of watering equipment, totaling over 1,500 effective work hours on the ground to ensure substantial and lasting surface improvement.
As highlighted by the mayor, Santiago Cabello, this tender is in addition to other completed actions and a recent credit modification of 500,000 euros approved in a council session. These joint efforts aim for a historic improvement in the rural road network, benefiting farmers, ranchers, and residents.
The council has also requested additional aid from other public administrations for the conservation of high-traffic roads, such as the Guadamora, Navalpozuelo, Virgen de Luna, Huerta la Monja, and Las Merinillas roads. These actions are in addition to those already carried out on seven roads, with an investment of 200,000 euros through the Junta de Andalucía's plan, and 80,000 euros for the repair of the Pozoblanco to Conquista road, funded by the central Government.
