The current figure represents an average of over 650 people per day, an increase of almost 20% compared to the previous year. This data confirms the complex's central role in the city's sports, health, and social activities.
During the year 2025, the facility received over 136,000 users, with an approximate daily average of 550 people. The trend observed in 2026 shows further growth in the facility's use, remaining active year-round thanks to its diverse services.
The complex offers sports swimming, aquagym activities, a swimming school, federated users, and groups, attracting people of all ages. The mayor of Pozoblanco, Santiago Cabello, highlighted that the pool is a fundamental facility, not only for its user volume but also for the diversity of year-round services it provides, impacting the city socially and sportingly.
Cabello emphasized that Pozoblanco possesses a top-tier facility capable of maintaining year-round activity and meeting broad demand, considering it a source of health, sport, community, learning, and quality of life. The City Council will continue working on its maintenance and improvement.
Pozoblanco is the only municipality in the northern area of Córdoba that keeps two pools open simultaneously, enhancing the local sports and swimming offerings.
Recently, the City Council has carried out improvements, including the air conditioning of the gym and other maintenance tasks to optimize the complex's operation and user experience.
The Councilor for Sports, Agustín Cantero, highlighted the continuous and extraordinary use of the Municipal Pool, calling it one of the most active facilities. He noted that the user data speaks for itself, showing the space is essential for sports practice, swimming, healthy physical activity, and the daily work of clubs, schools, and groups.
Cantero added that the pool is a vibrant complex throughout the year, offering sports activities, training, health programs, and activities for various user profiles. The Sports Department constantly monitors the facility's needs, implementing improvements to maintain a highly valued public service.
A key feature enabling its continuous use is its status as a heated pool during winter, thanks to a thermal envelope formed by a polycarbonate cover and aluminum vertical enclosures with thermal breaks and double glazing, adapting the space to different seasons.
