The Hinojosa del Duque City Council has announced the schedule of cultural and recreational activities that will take place during the final week before the start of its traditional Fair and Festivities in honor of San Agustín. This initiative aims to energize public spaces, encourage citizen participation from residents and visitors of all ages, and highlight the town's rich heritage and artistic value.
The presentation was attended by the mayor, Matías González, and members of the government team. It was emphasized that this series of events serves as an ideal meeting point to build anticipation for the municipality's main celebration days.
The program kicks off on Monday, August 17th, with 'Experience, History, and Nature' at the San Benito Hermitage. This sensory evening will blend heritage, gastronomy, and music, featuring a guided tasting of ham and beer, accompanied by ambient music from the group Macetera Rockera. The activity costs 10 euros and requires prior registration.
On Tuesday, August 18th, the Plaza de la Catedral will host the concert 'Aromas del Sur Cuarteto' at 10:00 PM, led by renowned pianist Diego Valdivia.
On Wednesday, August 19th, the Plaza de la Catedral will feature the 'Flamenco Stage' at 10:00 PM. The lineup includes the voices of Mercedes Garrote, Ángel Fernández “Naranjito”, Mauricio Chaves, and Antonio Jiménez, accompanied on guitar by Jesús Manuel Revaliente.
On Thursday, August 20th, the Patio del Museo Etnológico will host the 'Creators' exhibition and conference at 9:30 PM. This event will showcase and explain the posters submitted to the Feria y Fiestas en Honor a San Agustín contest, with participation from the contestants and the winner, Julio Muñoz Moreno.
On Friday, August 21st, the Caseta Municipal will host the 'Jamón Music Festival' starting at 11:00 PM. The festival will feature tributes to Extremoduro and Robe Iniesta by Gato Ventura, a tribute to Fito & Fitipaldis by Corazón Oxidado, and performances by local talent including Los Drinkers and Los Hijos del Viento.
