The arrests followed a swift investigation initiated on the morning of April 4, after a report of a robbery at a well-known hospitality venue in Huércal-Overa. The assailants gained entry by breaking a glass door, causing damage and stealing various items.

The immediate response of a patrol on duty led to the location of a suspicious person nearby. Investigative efforts by the Civil Guard of Huércal-Overa and a thorough analysis of the evidence found, allowed for the full identification of this individual and their direct link to the incidents.

Subsequently, in a coordinated search operation with the local Policía Local, a second accomplice was arrested. Items stolen from the assaulted establishment were seized from him, including lottery tickets from ONCE and Nacional.

On the same day, two additional complaints were filed for a robbery and a theft at other hospitality establishments in Huércal-Overa. The investigations carried out by the Civil Guard gathered sufficient evidence to charge both detainees with these new crimes.

Thanks to the rapid operational response and investigative efficiency of the Civil Guard, both perpetrators were apprehended within less than 24 hours of the incidents. After being brought before the judicial authorities, the competent judicial authority ordered their pre-trial detention.
