The NaturLevante initiative, promoted by the Provincial Council of Almería, aims to boost sports and family tourism in the region. The event will take place on the weekend of May 23rd and 24th in various municipalities of Levante Almeriense, offering an experience that combines sport, nature, and community.
The Deputy for Sports, Healthy Life, and Youth, María Luisa Cruz, accompanied by mayors and councilors from the host municipalities, presented the initiative. Following the success of NaturAlpujarra, NaturLevante aims to showcase the territory through outdoor activities.
The program will offer 78 places for participants aged 7 and above, featuring a full weekend of nautical experiences and healthy leisure proposals. Activities will be held in locations such as San Juan de los Terreros, Garrucha, Bédar, Cuevas del Almanzora, Carboneras, Mojácar, and Vera. Accommodation for participating families is included.
María Luisa Cruz highlighted that the proposal will allow participants to "explore wonderful corners of Carboneras, Pulpí, Mojácar, Bédar, Cuevas del Almanzora, Garrucha, or Vera, always with sport and healthy living as the common thread." The initiative values sports tourism and allows families to discover Levante Almeriense in a different way.
Saturday's schedule includes options such as kayaking in San Juan de los Terreros, big paddle surfing and aquatic multi-adventure in Garrucha, the Mining Trail in Bédar, or cable skiing and inflatables in Cuevas del Almanzora. In the afternoon, a catamaran trip along the coast of Carboneras is planned.
On Sunday, participants can choose between the La Mena Trail in Mojácar or a visit to the Aquavera Water Park in Vera. The activity includes guides, monitors, insurance, necessary equipment, full-board accommodation, a gift, and transportation.
Registration is available through the website todofondo.net. The price is 50 euros for adults (14 years and older) and 30 euros for children (7 to 13 years old). The main objective is to promote the Levante Almeriense territory through a sporting and family experience.
