This alliance seeks to facilitate access for Huércal-Overa residents to the activities and services that ADIAL organizes throughout the province. The initiative follows a meeting between municipal representatives and the association, reaffirming institutional support for the entity's work.
The council is committed to distributing essential guides for diabetes management, covering aspects such as balanced nutrition, physical activity, and the importance of medical treatment. Emphasis will also be placed on early symptom identification and the management of urgent situations, such as hypoglycemia and hyperglycemia.
A central point of this collaboration is the promotion of the ADIAL Camp 2026, an educational activity aimed at young people with diabetes. This camp, which will take place from July 13 to 16 at the Juan de Austria Camp in Aguadulce, will offer four days of adventure and coexistence.
The main objective of the camp is to foster autonomy in children and young people in managing their diabetes, providing diabetological education in a safe and recreational environment. The initiative seeks to instill values of self-improvement and camaraderie among participants.
Through this action, the Huércal-Overa City Council continues its commitment to raising awareness of chronic diseases and supporting organizations like ADIAL, which accompany patients on their journey towards learning and improved quality of life.
