The vice-president of the Provincial Council of Almería, Ángel Escobar, attended the 2026 Autism Gala in Huércal-Overa, organized by ASTEA Autismo Almería. The event, aimed at raising awareness about the reality of people with autism and recognizing the association's work, also included the mayor of Huércal-Overa, Domingo Fernández, and the president of ASTEA Autismo Almería, Mónica López.
Escobar highlighted ASTEA's essential role in supporting individuals with autism and their families. He reaffirmed the Council's commitment to continue collaborating in creating a more inclusive province, ensuring equal opportunities for all residents, regardless of where they live.
For his part, Domingo Fernández emphasized the need for collective collaboration to build an inclusive society, expressing the support of the Huércal-Overa City Council, the Provincial Council, and the Regional Government of Andalusia for ASTEA's initiatives. He thanked all attendees, entities, and collaborators who made the event possible.

The gala featured various musical performances, an inclusive flamenco fashion show, and the presentation of awards to individuals and entities recognized for their collaboration with ASTEA over the past year.
