The incident took place at 2:30 PM at the junction between the A7 highway and the AL 7106 road, within the municipality of Huércal-Overa, in the area known as La Ballabona. According to eyewitnesses, a car driving against the normal flow of traffic collided head-on with another vehicle.
Civil Guard officers, medical teams, and road maintenance personnel were quickly dispatched to the scene. The 112 Andalucía Emergency Coordination Center confirmed the time of the crash and the absence of injuries following the emergency services' intervention.
